When auto-categorization is used together with Auto-Receipt Matching, most of the process is handled automatically. The only action required is to click “Send” for the purchase – everything else is managed by the system.
With Smart Receipts, it is possible to create rules for auto-categorization after a purchase has been completed:
Select a category for the purchase.
A blue box will appear asking whether purchases of the same type should always be categorized in the same way.
If the box is checked, future purchases at the same merchant will automatically be assigned the selected category.
This feature simplifies the management of recurring purchases and subscriptions, saving time and reducing manual work.
Only the card user can create rules for their own purchases. Admins cannot set up rules on behalf of users.
