In Mynt, you can review, approve, and manage transactions before they are exported to your accounting system. This article explains what applies to completed transactions and how to handle a transaction that should not be exported.
Can a completed transaction be deleted?
No. Completed transactions cannot be deleted from your company's Mynt account.
All completed and posted transactions remain in your transaction history, even if they are later:
disputed,
refunded,
or corrected through a separate transaction.
This ensures that your company's transaction and accounting history remains complete.
Mark a transaction as exported without sending it to your accounting system
If a transaction should not be exported to your connected accounting system, you can mark it as exported manually.
Follow these steps:
Approve the transaction.
Open the transaction from the transaction list.
Under Custom export settings, click View.
Select Mark as exported.
The transaction will move from Ready for export to Exported without being sent to your accounting system.
Good to know
Marking a transaction as exported does not send it to your accounting system.
The transaction will remain in Mynt.
This can be useful if the transaction has already been recorded manually or should not be exported through the integration.
Always verify your accounting records before marking a transaction as exported to avoid missing or duplicating entries.
Frequently asked questions
Can Mynt delete an incorrect transaction?
No. Completed transactions cannot be deleted. If a transaction is incorrect, it must instead be handled through a refund, dispute process, or accounting correction.
Will the transaction be sent to my accounting system when I select Mark as exported?
No. The transaction is only given the status Exported in Mynt and is not sent to your accounting system.
Can I edit a transaction after it has been exported?
Some information may still be visible or manageable in Mynt, but any changes will not automatically update a transaction that has already been recorded in your accounting system. If necessary, corrections must also be made in your accounting software.
