Report an unauthorized transaction

Here's what to do if you notice a transaction on your Mynt card that you don't recognize.

If you notice a transaction that you don't recognize or suspect is fraudulent, follow the steps below. We'll help you investigate the transaction as quickly as possible.

Before contacting us

Review the transaction carefully to make sure it is actually unauthorized. It may be:

  • A subscription or recurring payment.

  • A purchase where the merchant name differs from the company name.

  • A purchase made by a family member, friend, or colleague who had access to the card.

If you still don't recognize the transaction, temporarily freeze your card in the Mynt app while you investigate.

Contact the merchant first

Before contacting Mynt, always try to resolve the issue directly with the merchant.

In many cases, the merchant can:

  • Explain the transaction.

  • Refund the payment.

  • Cancel an unwanted subscription.

If the merchant is unable to help, save any documentation from your communication, such as:

  • Emails

  • Chat conversations

  • Case or reference numbers

We'll need this information if the transaction needs further investigation.

Contact Mynt Support

If the merchant cannot resolve the issue, contact our support team.

You can contact us via:

Information we'll need

To help us investigate the transaction as quickly as possible, please provide:

  • The last four digits of your card.

  • The date and time of the transaction.

  • A brief description of the issue.

  • Documentation showing that you've already contacted the merchant.

What happens next?

Once we've received your report, we'll review the information and guide you through the next steps if further investigation is required.
