In Mynt, administrators and accountants can set rules for tags on a user level.
What does this mean?
This feature allows you to control how tags, such as cost center, cost bearer, or project, are automatically assigned to transactions based on the person who made the purchase.
This helps automate your accounting and reduces the need for manual adjustments.
Benefits
Less manual work.
Fewer accounting errors.
Easier reporting and follow-up.
Before you start – activate tags
To use tags on a user level, they must first be activated in the company's Accounting settings.
Go to Accounting settings.
Find the Tags section.
Activate the tags you want to use, for example Cost bearer, Cost center, or Project.
Make sure the required values are available for each tag.
The available tags and values are imported from your connected accounting system.
A blue toggle means that the tag is active. If the toggle is grey, the tag is not active and cannot be used in user-level accounting rules.
How to set tags on a user level
Once the tags are activated, you can select which tag values should automatically be applied to a specific user's expenses.
Go to Teams & Cards.
Select the user you want to set tags for.
Go to Accounting rules.
Under Set tags, select the tag you want to use, for example Cost center.
Select the value you want to apply to this user's expenses.
The selected tag will then automatically be assigned to the user's transactions.
Good to know
Tag rules are set separately for each user.
A tag must be activated under Accounting settings before it can be used on a user level.
Available tags and values depend on the connected accounting system.
User-level rules help automate accounting based on who made the purchase.
