Kleer – How Mynt and Kleer work together

How the Kleer card, the integration with Mynt, and the management of business cards and expenses work.

The Kleer card is a business card offered by Kleer in partnership with Mynt. The card can be used with credit or with funds that the company deposits in advance.

Mynt and Kleer are integrated to simplify the management of business cards, transactions, and accounting.

In short, users and expense reporting are managed in Kleer, while business cards and the card account are managed in Mynt.

What is managed in Mynt?

Mynt is responsible for business cards and financial services.

The following are managed in Mynt:

  • Card management: Ordering, activating, freezing, and closing business cards.

  • Finances: Credit applications, deposits, and management of the company's card account.

  • Account information: Account balances, card transactions, and account statements.

  • Know Your Customer (KYC): Company identification and verification in accordance with applicable regulations.

Business cards can only be created for users who have first been registered as cardholders in Kleer and synchronized with Mynt.

How to get started with the Kleer card

To get a Kleer card, start in the Kleer interface.

Step 1 – Start the setup in Kleer

  1. Log in to Kleer.

  2. Go to Expenses → Business cards in the left-hand menu.

  3. Click Get started – Get the Kleer card or Get the Kleer card.

  4. Select the person in your company who will be the administrator in Mynt.

  5. Specify the accounting accounts for receipt reporting and card transactions.

The administrator can be selected from users who are already registered in Kleer.

Which accounting accounts should you use?

  • Accounting account for receipt reporting: Used for card purchases that have not yet been reported. Once expense reporting is completed, the amount is reclassified to the appropriate expense account.

  • Accounting account for card transactions: Used to record completed (settled) card transactions.

If your company uses prepaid funds, Kleer recommends an asset account in account class 19XX.

If your company uses credit, Kleer recommends a liability account in account class 28XX.

If you are unsure which accounting accounts to select, contact your Kleer consultant.

Step 2 – Complete onboarding with Mynt

Once the information has been submitted, Mynt sends an email to the person selected as administrator.

The administrator needs to:

  1. Open the email from Mynt.

  2. Click the link to start onboarding.

  3. Create the company's account with Mynt.

  4. Complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

  5. Complete the remaining steps to set up the card account.

Please note:
