If you notice a transaction on your Mynt account that you don’t recognize or suspect is fraudulent, please follow these steps to report it:
Verify the Transaction:
Review your transaction details carefully to confirm whether the charge is genuinely unauthorized or if it might have been overlooked (e.g., a subscription or a merchant using a different trading name).
Check if a family member, friend, or colleague may have used the card without your permission. Also, consider if it could be a subscription or purchase you did make, but with an unfamiliar name.
-Always temporary freeze your Mynt card through the Mynt app during the investigation.
2. Contact the Merchant:
Always first reach out to the merchant directly to resolve the issue. Often, unauthorized charges can be refunded directly by the merchant. Provide them with details of the transaction and request an investigation or refund.
4. Document Your Efforts If the merchant is unable to resolve the matter, keep proof of your communication (e.g., emails, chat records, or reference numbers) for further escalation.
5. Contact Mynt Customer Service
If merchant is not supporting in solving the transaction, reach out to our customer service team. You can contact us via email at support@mynt.com, or through chat (open 09:00-17:00).
6. Provide Details for Investigation
To assist you as quickly as possible, we’ll need the last four digits of the card, the date and time of the transaction, and a brief description, also provide us with documentation proving you ahve been in contact with merchant.
